ATTACKS ON ASIAN AMERICANS
Recently there has been a huge spike in attacks against Asian Americans ever since the beginning of the pandemic, but they seemingly got worse during the Lunar New Year. Ever since March there have been 700 violent attacks against Asian Americans in the Bay area, and 2,800 nationwide. Not many people have acknowledged this issue because there has been a lack of news coverage. No one really understands why people have been provoked to abuse Asian Americans but all the signs point to huge leaders saying xenophobic and racist remarks. Blaming the pandemic on China and calling it the “kung-flu” was just the start of all these hate crimes, and now they’ve gotten worse. I encourage everyone to read more on this and please educate on the issues Asian Americans face daily.

I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season."
Martin Luther King Jr. was a key role during the civil rights movement. He fought for equality and human rights for African-Americans. The King Centers goal is to create a more peaceful world by using MLK's nonviolent ways.
JEWISH PEOPLE IN AMERICA
Anti-Semitism has been on the rise for years and in the past few years, we've seen many people be openly anti-Semitic. Not a lot of people talk about the issues Jewish people face in America when it should be a huge topic. Recently there has been some news coverage of anti-Semitic attacks. In New York, there was a Jewish school that was hacked. The school website was filled with anti-Semitic symbols like swastikas and other images that represented the Holocaust. Anti-Semitic attacks happen all the time. In 2019 there were 2,107 hate crimes against Jewish people. PROTECT THE ARCTIC
There is a threat against the Arctic and people need to help take action soon. The last 5% of the North Coast of Alaska land is in danger. This land is sacred land to many Natives and is home to many animals. This threat would cause permanent damage and would affect the world's climate immensely. I will provide links for more information and ways to help protect the Arctic
